Climate Change ( IPCC ) says scientists are on the verge of the worst global warming since the Industrial Revolution in the late 19th century. Global warming is expected to have devastating effects far outreaching far beyond the effects caused by the fuel burning we inject into the atmosphere, such as fossil fuels. Sources: 1
Climate change has become a favorite term among researchers and policymakers. Global warming means more warming. As the globe gets hotter on average, the increase in temperature will have a profound impact on the planet's climate, from the Earth's atmosphere to the oceans and atmosphere. Climate change will affect our globe by melting ice, drying up areas that already exist, and disrupting the delicate balance of the ocean. Perhaps the melting of ice is the single most important cause of global warming in the 21st century. Sources: 2 So far, the effects of global warming and climate change have been proportional to increases in greenhouse gas emissions. But since anthropogenic greenhouse gases are at levels not seen in at least 640 years, unless we act quickly and decisively in the next decade and begin to control emissions, these impacts will persist and increase. The damage from climate changes can not be minimized, because global cooling and warming can cause global sea level rise and can lead to higher or lower local temperature predictions. Sources: 3 Given current and ongoing greenhouse gas emissions, it is likely that global average temperatures by the end of this century will continue to rise above pre - industrial levels. Most aspects of climate change will persist even if emissions are stopped. There are important benchmarks leading up to and beyond that may be reached and passed. We may approach the threshold for dramatic changes in warming and drying. Sources: 9 Natural factors like solar activity and volcanoes led to a slight cooling of Earth's surface temperatures, and global temperatures declined and fell until the early twentieth century, which ended with the end of the last ice age and the beginning of modern global warming. This episode of abrupt warming was caused by an increase in the amount of sunlight reaching the Earth surface and was then amplified by the large amounts of carbon dioxide emitted by ocytes to warm them. Today's global temperature rise is caused largely by rising temperatures from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas, as well as emissions of methane, a gas that humans add to the atmosphere to burn for fuel. Sources: 4 The atmosphere is trapping more heat from the sun, and the average temperature is rising by five degrees. The warming will be difficult to avoid. Polar ice and rock are melting, sea levels are rising and sea level is going to rise in the coming centuries. There is no doubt that the Earth's climate is changing, primarily caused by global warming and climate change. Sources: 3 The warming, most severe in the Arctic, is expected to continue. Sea levels are rising and are changing the amount of nature's predation, likely including an expansion of underwater depths. Global temperatures have been rising, and the warming of the world's oceans, the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change. However, this warming is not expected for the foreseeable future, continuing until emissions stop owing to a combination of natural variability and human activities, such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation. Sources: 6 Global warming is one aspect of climate change related to the long - term rise in the planet's temperature. This is caused by an increase in greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. CO2 pollution is emitted when fuels like coal, oil and gas are burned to produce electricity and power cars. Sources: 8 Burning fuels like coal, natural gas and oil in electric vehicles, cars and homes emits additional carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Higher concentrations of these greenhouse gases in our atmosphere trap more heat, causing an anthropogenic increase in global temperatures. According to numerous reviews of the scientific literature, the overwhelming majority of climate scientists disagree that human activity is the primary cause of global warming we are experiencing. Sources: 5 Over the past 150 years, the industrial activities on which modern civilization depends have increased carbon dioxide levels from 10 parts per million to 412 parts a million. The U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ( IPCC ) concluded that there is no evidence that human activity over the last 50 years has caused a significant increase in the global average temperature of the Earth's surface. But the Panel also concluded there was "strong evidence" that the planet has been warming by more than 1.5 degrees Celsius ( 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit ) since the mid-20th century, and by as much as 3.4 degrees C ( 5.2 degrees F ) over a period of about 50,000 years. Sources: 7 Climate change is the change in the average weather patterns that come to define the Earth's climate at the local, regional and global levels. It is most often measured as an average increase in global surface temperature, but observable effects are bebed synonymous with the term. These changes have the effect that much of the current warming trend is likely to occur at an unprecedented rate over decades or millennia.

To protect the Blue Mountains from the brush fire of Gospers Mountain, firefighters started a major burnout in the Mount Wilson and Mount Irvine areas on December 14th. 3
Due to the extreme isolation of the area and the rough, inaccessible terrain, firefighters tried to contain the fires as they spread across the dense scrubland. 3The fire continued to grow in size and intensity and burned toward the Yerranderie community. 3Firefighters burned back in the city as helicopters and fixed-wing planes worked to control the spread of the fire. 3On December 5, the fire jumped over Lake Burragorang and started to burn towards the populated areas within the Wollondilly area. 3 In some areas of New South Wales, entire communities were struck off the map, while others were surrounded by flames for days. 18In Western Australia, around 400 people had to have supplies on board because they were stranded on a remote section of the freeway that had been cut by fire. 18A total of around 2,100 houses have already been destroyed in a fire that burned down in an area the size of Switzerland. 18 When the fires were worst, around 2,700 firefighters battled flames in nsw at the same time. 10However, more than 1,100 firefighters have been on site in recent days, according to the NSW Rural Fire Service. 10Ben Shepherd, on duty, said his colleagues have spent 4.2 million hectares of burning land this season compared to the typical 300,000 hectares. 10 There is growing concern that rising temperatures and strong winds could make the fire uncontrollable. However, the NSW Rural Fire Service assumes that most flames will spread to the southeast. The state of emergency declared in Canberra gives the fire services additional powers and resources so that they can force evacuations if necessary. Some flames are still burning in the state and there are emergency warnings. A fire started in the Port Macquarie suburb of Crestwood on October 26 due to a dry thunderstorm. 3Water bombers were delayed the following day to control the swamp fire south-west of Port Macquarie. 3A back fire on October 28 escaped New South Wales Rural Fire Service (NSWRFS) volunteers after a sudden wind change that pushed the fire south toward Lake Cathie and west over Lake Innes. 3Port Macquarie and the surrounding areas were covered in thick smoke on October 29, and continued fire activity the following week made the sky glow orange. 3 On December 19, 2019 the mountain fire of the Gospers hit the sweet dam between Mount Victoria and Bell.Later it jumped on the sweet dam and hit the Grose Valley. The fire was split into two fires: Grose Valley Fire and Gospers Mountain Fire. 3On December 21, a catastrophic day, the fire in the Grose Valley hit Mount Victoria, Blackheath, Bell, Clarence, Dargan and Bilpin and destroyed dozens of homes. 3On the same days, both the Gospers Mountain fire and the Grose Valley fire moved towards Kurrajong. 3Burn-back operations were carried out to save Kurrajong and the surrounding area and to save all cities in the Blue Mountains from Katoomba to Winmalee. 3 The townships of Warrandyte, Yarra Glen, Omeo and Pomonal were badly damaged, and fires burned on the outskirts of Melbourne, affecting cities such as Toolangi, Warburton and Thomson Valley. 4In the Victorian Alps, the cities of Bright, Cudgewa and Corryong, as well as large areas in the west were affected, particularly Portland, the Otway Ranges and the Grampians. 4Black Range, Rubicon, Acheron, Noojee, Tanjil Bren, Hill End, Woods Point, Matlock, Erica, Omeo, Toombullup and the Black Forest were also affected. 4 Some parts of the country have recently broken records for the highest measured temperatures. 18Nationally, Australia had its hottest day last month with an average high of 41.9 degrees Celsius, 1 degree higher than the previous record, which was set just 24 hours earlier. 18Other major cities such as Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide were also smothered by bushfire smoke. 18 So the video used the date from the new announcement of South Wales and the number of arson attacks counted from newspaper history in 2019 across five states and different time periods. 13The effect has been an excessive number of arrests since the start of the bushfire. 13The bigger point in the video, however, is that arson is primarily responsible for the bush fires in Australia, not climate change. 13 European colonization through around 40,000 years has learned to manage and reduce the risk of fire through specific knowledge of local ecosystems and carefully controlled burns. 16With Australia suffering from drought, heat waves and devastating bush fires this summer, practitioners of indigenous fire management report greater interest in their work than ever before. 16Australia was colonized by the British in 1788, and settlers were systematically working to decimate the existing indigenous population through violence. 16 Near the fire, smoke is a health risk because it contains a mixture of dangerous gases and particles that can irritate the eyes and the respiratory tract. 17 There is a severe tropical cyclone off the northwest coast of Wa, and this system intensifies as it moves toward the coast. 2
Residents between the wetter and pardoo roadhouse, including the damp, karratha and hedge, are warned of the potential for a very dangerous storm surge when the cyclone center crosses the coast. 4 Tropical cyclones that develop between the equator and 11 degrees between 151 and 160 degrees are named by the tropical cyclone warning center in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. 1 Residents of low-lying coastal areas are warned of the potential for a storm surge when the cyclone center crosses the coast. In preparation for Damien, the Australian Meteorological Bureau issued a red alarm from Whim Creek to Mardie, which extended south to Millstream, and a yellow alarm from Port Hedland to Whim Creek, which extended south to Wittenoom. 1 The Australian region from the South Pacific Basin (east of 160 degrees) retains the name assigned to it by the Fiji Weather Service (FMS) or Metservice. 1 On January 24, the bomb discovered that a weak tropical low had formed inland over the northeastern northern territory near Kresswell Downs. 1 Iodine contributed to the development of a region with higher air pressure in Northern Australia in September after having remained almost neutral throughout the winter. 1 The properties in the harbor hedge were cut off by flooding and the mining, oil and gas industries were severely disrupted. 3 |
